Tony Richardson
Antonio “Tony” Richardson (born December 12, 1971 in Frankfurt, Germany) is an American football fullback for the New York Jets of the National Football League. He was marked by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agency in 1994. He performed school football at Auburn.
A four-time Pro Bowl assortment, Tony Richardson has furthermore performed for the Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs.
Professional career
Dallas Cowboys
Tony Richardson was not made a draft by any group, and went into the NFL as an undrafted free agency marked to the Dallas Cowboys in 1994. He expended most of his time on the perform squad and was finally issued by the team.
Kansas City Chiefs
Tony Richardson marked with Kansas City in February of 1995. He begun one game in that time of the year, and was documented for impeding for Marcus Allen on his way to his 100th vocation touchdown. He subsequent became the beginning fullback for the group, paving the way for Priest Holmes to run over NFL defenses. He was chosen to comprise the AFC in the 2003, 2004, and 2005 Pro Bowls.
Minnesota Vikings
A free agency in the 2006 offseason, Tony Richardson marked with the Minnesota Vikings. He was chosen to comprise the NFC in the 2008 Pro Bowl after paving the way for Rookie of the Year Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor. At the end of the 2007-2008 time of the year, the Vikings did not re-sign Richardson, opting to yield for the lower Thomas Tapeh.
New York Jets
On March 6, 2008, Tony Richardson marked a one-year agreement with the New York Jets. He was re-signed by the group on February 27, 2009. After that agreement expired, he was re-signed afresh on March 16, 2010.
Personal
His dad, Sergeant Major Ben Richardson, was positioned in Germany when Tony was born, and he increased up the first eight years of his life in Germany. When they returned to the U.S., the family dwelled in Daleville, Alabama, where Tony excelled as a three-sport letterman in football, basketball, and pathway & field. He came to Auburn University, where he begun most of his four times of the year as a fullback for the group, building up 162 carries for 715 backyards and nine touchdowns. He obtained his Bachelor of Education stage in 2000, and subsequent got his MBA from Webster University in 2004. Off the area, Tony Richardson is very engaged with localized charities. He hosts the Kansas City section of the yearly Special Olympics Punt, Pass & Kick affray, and has assisted as head individual of numerous charitable associations and fundraisers. In 2002, he was nominated by his group for the NFL Man of the Year award. Richardson is furthermore a constituent of the NFLPA boss committee.He actually resides in Long Island City, Queens, NY.
